1st Birthday Cake Smash Photography in Hebburn and the North East

There is nothing like a 1st Birthday Cake Smash.  We provide Cake Smash Photography here at our Hebburn studio for clients who live throughout the North East.

As you know there are so many exciting and special moments during your baby’s first year. Just like all other milestones they only ever come around once. Our 1^st Birthday and cake smash photo shoots are so much fun. They are a unique way to create precious memories of your baby reaching their first big birthday. Capturing these moments are so important. Furthermore, we are more than happy to help! We will capture these precious special moments in a fun and relaxed environment. You can treasure them forever.

We have a huge range of props including chairs, creates, boxes, baskets, vintage car to name a few that can all be used during your child’s 1^st Birthday Portrait Shoot.  Parents and other siblings are also welcome to join in during this part of your child’s 1^st Birthday shoot.

We then add a banner, throw in a few balloons. Finally we add your cake to capture your child’s hilarious expressions as they are allowed to get messy by poking, prodding, squashing, squishing, breaking up and eating their cake.

On the day of your shoot, you will also have the option to purchase additional single images,  larger prints, key rings, fridge magnets, coasters and also our  16” x 16” canvas wrap with 9 of your favourite images available for a special introductory price of just £195.  

Please note our new canvas wrap can only be purchased as an optional extra, larger sizes are also available.

Who Can Take Part

Our 1^st birthday portrait shoots and cake smash sessions are suitable for all children up to the age of approx. 1 year old. Give or take a couple of weeks either side of your child’s birthday. This is the perfect age to capture your child’s innocent reactions to the cake. Honestly, the results are absolutely priceless.

We provide the bunting and balloons.  We ask you to provide a Giant Cup Cake style cake (we recommend Asda’s £6 giant cupcake) and please bring plenty of Baby Wipes!

Whats Best For Your Children To Wear During Their Shoot?

We are often asked what’s best for children to wear, this is entirely upto yourself, we have captured lots of children in just their nappy, or frilly knickers or a tutu for a girl and shorts/short dungarees and a tie or bow tie for a boy.  We find it looks really cute if the children aren’t wearing too many clothes as the buttercream and cake really does get everywhere, and it’s so much easier to clean them up afterwards!

Your little ones 1^st Birthday portrait shoot and cake smash shoot should last approximately 90 minutes in total.
