Me & My Dog Portrait Shoot
As the owner of the Late Zeb, a beautiful Black Labrador, who was 12 years old when I lost him, I totally understand and know how important it is to have a Me & My Dog Portrait Shoot.
Sadly none of us will live forever and being told that our dogs have a limited time left with us is truly heart breaking, I know from personal experience how important it is to treasure every moment we have left with them, and how important it is to capture as many moments through photographs of them as we can.
Meet Sara & Molly
I’ve been photographing Molly, a 15 year old Chocolate Labrador every other year since she was 8 years old, now deaf, partially blind and a typical old lady she hasn’t lost her cheeky character or smile. Sara, Molly’s owner asked me if I could do something different this time around, she wanted to be in the shoot, but just as a very close up shot and to show how much Molly means to her. The shoot was so emotional, but I think we captured exactly what Sara asked us to capture. Including a few cheeky ones of Molly on her own!
After the experience we had with Sarah & Molly, we are now offering this style of session as a completely new type of experience, simply called “Me & My Dog”.
Initially aimed at the older Golden Oldies, we are more than happy for any age of dog to take part in this type of shoot. We do aim to try and capture more emotional shots with owners if we can.
We want your time with us in our studio to be full of happy and magical moments, if your best friend is failing in health, has problems walking, or getting up and down please advise us when you book so that we can keep your session short and so that we can ensure we capture key shots, your dog’s health and wellbeing is always number one priority with ourselves.
Viewing your images can be a very emotional time and I am sure there will be a tear or two from all of us, I really, really do understand and that is why I work so closely with you to make sure I get to capture those very very special memories you can treasure for ever.
The cost of this shoot is £45 and includes one mounted 12 x 8 print of your choice from your shoot, or £95 for one mounted 16” x 12” print of your choice.
"I decided to take Molly to a me and my dog photo shoot as she is now 15 and although she has had many photos taken over the years what I really wanted was some that showed how distinguished she had become. I also wanted something with me and her. I explained my idea to Judith and it was in essence to keep me to a minimum. Once again Molly's cheeky personally came through thanks to Judith’s patience's. I also got a precious photo of the 2 of us. At her age every day is a gift but however long I'm lucky enough to have her with me I will also have the beautiful images to cherish forever. I can't thank you enough."
