Village Photography are proud to announce that we are once again this year running the North East Me & My Family Portrait Competition to raise funds for local South Tyneside Charity The Charlie & Carter Cookson Foundation.
When we started to think about and plan our new competition, our first thoughts were which local South Tyneside charity we could fund raise for, we chose The Charlie & Carter Foundation because they are a local community charity, Sarah & Chris have lost two precious boys and through their experience are helping other families that find themselves in this same position.
The Charlie & Carter Foundation (CCF) provides financial support to parents of seriously ill children with life limiting conditions that require 24 hour nursing care or specialist nursing facilities. They understand how difficult life can become when parents have to reduce their working hours or leave their employment as their child requires 24 hour care.
The Charlie & Carter Foundations aim to raise awareness of the difficulties faced by parents and carers who care for seriously ill children and campaigns to improve the quality of life of sick and seriously ill children, working with professionals to play an active part in the design and development of services to ensure the needs of parents, carers and children are heard and considered.
How much does it cost to take part?
The cost to take part is £10 per entry which is donated 100% in full to The Charlie & Carter Foundation.
Who can take part?
The photographic Competition is perfect for an individual Adult or Child with their dog, Grandchild with your dog, siblings with your dog or a family with your dog.
Terms & Condition’s – please read before registering
- Our Competition is open for a individual adult or child, siblings or a family with or without their dog.
- One £10 Shoot covers one entry.
- Competition is open from the now until mid December 2026 for all entries.
- All entries will be judged by staff and management from The Charlie & Carter Foundation, they will choose 1st, 2nd & 3rd from all of Village Photography’s entries.
- 1st prize is £100 Cash Prize
- 2nd prize is £75 Cash Prize
- 3rd prize is £50 Cash Prize
- All winners and results will be with me by Mid January 2027 (This may be subject to change).
- The judge’s decision is final and we have no involvement in the judging of the competition.
- We will display the 3 winners from Village Photography’s competition below once the winners have been announced.
Please Note:
- Our aim is to try and raise £1000 for The Charlie & Carter Foundation. We can do this by booking and completing 100 “Me & My Family” Portrait Shoots. Please note we are giving our time FREE OF CHARGE to try and fund raise. You will be asked to pay a £30 booking fee to secure a shoot slot, if you fail to arrive your £30 becomes non-refundable, on the day of your shoot, once completed your £10 donation will be taken from from your booking fee and the remaining £20 will be refunded, you will be asked to pay your booking fee with a debit card, if you are not willing to pay an upfront booking fee please do not register. Our studio is in Hebburn if you live to far from us, don’t drive and cant get to us please do not register. If you register and we call you please do not just hang up on us, its rude and frustrating, If you have changed your mind and no longer wish to take part, that’s fine just let us know and we can remove you from our calls list. We are giving our time free of charge, you will be asked if you would like to purchase any images from your shoot, that’s how we pay the bills, please do not be offended when we ask, you are under no obligation to purchase any prints.
