Village Photography are looking for supercute dogs no matter how big or small, and open to all breeds, including laughing labradors, grumpy spaniels and smiling staffies, to enter the North East Dog Portrait Competition.
We are raising funds and once again supporting Guide Dogs in 2026
To enter, all you have to do is text or call Judith on 07947153935 or complete the registration form and Faith will then call you back to book your dog in for their session.
The cost to take part is £10 per dog, which is donated 100% in full to Guide Dogs.
Terms & Conditions:
- Our Competition is open for all Dogs Only.
- One £10 donation covers one image of your dog.
- Competition is open from the 1st January 2026 until 23rd December 2026 for all entries.
- Please note to book your session you will be asked to pay a £30 booking fee, by either a debit or credit card, to secure you session in our studio, your £10 donation will be deduction from your booking fee on the day of your shoot and the remaining balance of £20 will be refunded to you on the day of your shoot. However if you fail to arrive arrive then your booking-fee will become non-refundable, if you cancel your session your booking fee is non-refundable. We are giving our time free of charge to raise funds for this fantastic charity.
- The competition is open to portraits of dogs only and the image must be taken by Village Photography.
- Owners choose there favourite image of their dog to enter the competition.
- Doggy Owners are encouraged to share with their friends & family there chosen image. Images will be loaded up onto our Facebook page on the last day of each month.
- All entries will be judged by an independent Judge or by Guide Dogs North East Mobility Team who will choose 1st, 2nd & 3rd from all of Village Photography’s entries.
- The Prizes are as stated below and no other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.
- 1st prize is £100 cash Prize
- 2nd prize is £75 Cash Prize
- 3rd prize is £50 Cash Prize
- All winners and results will be with me by 31st January 2026. (subject to change). Winners will be notified by telephone, once prizes are available to be handed over, winners have 6 weeks to collect their prize.
- All winners will be invited back to our studio to collect their prize and will be asked to have a photograph taken accepting their prize.
- By entering this competion all entrants agree to the use of their names and images being used on any of our websites, social media platforms, display brochures, litrature, studio displays and any other form of advertising Village Photography deem acceptable. We will never pass your details onto any Third Party Companies.
- The judges decision is final and we have no involvement in the judging of the North East Dog Portrait Competition..
- We will display the 3 winners from Village Photography’s competition below as normal.
- A person can enter as many images as they wish but it is £10 per entry image.
- We have chosen to support Guide Dogs as a business due to the long association we have with Guide Dogs, As a family we were Puppy Walkers & my Father was also a speaker for Guide Dogs.
- The first £2500 raised will be used to Name & Sponsor a Guide Dog Puppy through their first year of training, we will also be holding other fundraising events and competitions to help us support Guide Dogs.

Village Photography are honoured to announce that we won the National Pet Portrait Award Photographer of the Year for 2017. Below is our winning image of Cyno a 6 month old beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback Our image was the £1000 prize winner!
