Child Portraits
As a children’s portrait photographer, who has been capturing children’s portraits for many years, I know that your children mean everything to you.
Your children are the centre of your world. Now and for the rest of your life. In other words, regardless of their age from tiny tots through to their teenage years, watching them grow is one of the most rewarding experiences in your life.

What happens during your children’s portrait shoot?
Your children’s photo shoot, is all about them from beginning to end. We have lots of child-friendly props for your children to use during their photo shoot. But, to make it more unique and special to your child, they could bring their own props with them.

- dinosaur toy
Perhaps your child is older and loves fashion? They may like to wear their favourite hat, jacket, shades or trainers. In other words, it’s all about your child.
It’s pretty special being able to watch children from behind my camera having fun which is why I love my job as a children’s photographer.
There’s no doubt, children’s portrait photography is pretty special and all of our shoots take place in our studio, in a fun & relaxed atmosphere. Our studio is based on Mountbatten Avenue in Hebburn.
Children love holding props too, we have wooden animals, cars, rainbows oh and a giant teddy bear Arthur that loves his cuddles!
There is no specific time to photograph your Children and portraits sessions are perfect any time of the year, sometimes though parents do book in for key moments of a child’s life, here are a few ideas to get you started:
CHILDREN’S PHOTO SHOOT IDEAS
- You have a new baby and may want to have newborn baby photographs with your older children. Sibling images of all your children. These are very special sessions, with emotion and strong connections very evident in the images. It’s beautiful!
- Starting school, around five years. We can do a traditional style school shoot or a fun shoot with an old vintage desk and props.
- The lovely middle years where your children are are no longer really little anymore and typically love to be photographed. We can have fun with clothing options to really draw out their personality, football strips are always great for the lads.
- Teenagers. Often overlooked but perfect for remembering the transition from child into young adult.
